Re: googling an IP address

I believe what Chris is referring to is usage statistics. There are lots of
software packages that do this and publish its finding on a public web
page. All it does is track IP address,KBytes transferred and number of
visits. To clarify, this is not something that google is tracking, rather
just picking up and caching these reports. Example, do a search on
"68.106.61.137" you'll get some web responses with reports like this
Usage Statistics for foobar.com

Greetings,

I have been following this thread for last couple of days but I am confused

by it. Can the experts out there tell me what is means by (1) googling or
searching for your own ip address. (2) what do the results mean?

To my understanding any search of ip or the domain is basically doing dns
resolution forward or reverse...

Cheers,
IK

|"Click on the link that says "Find web pages that contain the term

| Where on the google search page is this link? I can't seem to find it.
|
|I also tried to google my IP address, with and without quotes, and the
|searches returned no results.
