On w2003 you still have to things like disable lmhash storage, enable
syskey, set access control lists etc.etc..

OK, for a MICROSOFT product, it ships fairly locked down.  It is no longer
the equivalent of a pretty girl in a bad part of town with a "rape me" sign,
which is a graphic, if apt, description of an out-of-the-box Win2K box.. .
 
Plus it takes about 30 minutes to lock down a W2K box, with IIS on it.  If
you use one of the tools/scripts out there. Or make one yourself.

Then again Win2003 is effectively Win2K SP4. . .
