RE: Service install without permissions

Have them set a generic administrative password, then change it as soon as
the server is up?

Or look on the Windows CD, there is a support.msi (IIRC) install program,
that installs the documentation for the unattended setup scripts.

But beware, the password in those scripts is going to be in cleartext, so
you should probably change it as soon as the install is complete anyway.

Subject: Service install without permissions

We need to send a CD for autoinstall a service in remote
locations where we have NT Servers. The user's that will run
the install procedure do not have the administrator password
(for obvious security reasons).

The question is :
How to install a service without using the administrator user?
