Re: Patch manager for IBM AIX

IBM provides a web-based service at:
http://www-912.ibm.com/eserver/support/fixes/fcgui.jsp

We use it, the AIX 'instfix' command and a spreadsheet to track
patches. We also subscribe to IBM's patch notification service.

Hi gang,

We're looking for a patch manager for IBM AIX
machines. We've looked
at Shlavik Ecora and others but they don't cover
AIX.

Any leads?

Hi Marty,
take a look at fixdist.More info at
http://www.faqs.org/faqs/aix-faq/part1/section-50.html

It's a simple X11 application to download the patches you want.
