Security Basics: Leveraging Kerberos for SSO

Where can I find architecture, design, solutions docs on leveraging
Kerberos for SSO? I have no specific requirements at this point, so
I'm looking for general info on how it would work, potential  targets
systems, etc.

I welcome SPNEGO/Kerberos info as well. (I'm not looking for
integration with TAM)

Any help appreciated.
