I agree totally. Until hearing of this change, I was seriously considering
pursuing the GSEC cert. I will admit it is probably easier to obtain now,
but that's the problem. It is now EASIER to obtain. I was look for
something that would be harder to earn than the certs that I already have,
not just as easy as.
I guess the CISSP is my best option now, at least until the cheapen that
one, too......

I seriously doubt that I will renew my two certs with GIAC. Cannot
adequately
express how disappointed I am with the watering down of them. This is not
the
first time GIAC has made these certs easier. Hopefully Mr. Northcutt is
subscribed to this list.
