Actually,
F-Secure uses both Kaspersky and F-Prot AV engines and licensed Lavasoft's
AdAware for Anti-Spyware.
The suite works quite well and I've yet to have anything get past it...
As to ZDNet, I take most of their reviews with a grain of salt...they're
kind of like a gun magazine, a lot of fluff and not a lot of grit.
I haven't used the corporate implementation of F-Secure in a long time,
but the home user Internet Security Suite seems to be thorough...but then,
it did take a little time and attention to make sure I had it configured
how I wanted.
F-Prot still makes it's own AV...it's very meat and potatoes, not at all
fancy. But it works and it's cheap $25 for five licenses or something.
Sincerely,
Bryan S. Sampsel
