Security Basics: Has Securityfocus.com been spoofed ??

I m not sure about it.Thats why i m putting this here in security basics.

Today i clicked on job seekers tab on  securityfocus.com. A login screen came. I provided my username and password. 
After that firefox showed the msg that the connection has been interrupted.

this never happened in past.

what could be the reasons for that ???
