Security Basics: Smooth wall 3.0 Tweaks

Hello all,

I recently upgraded to smooth wall 3.0, and I would like to know first if anyone is currently using or deploying this 
product and secondly what are some of the things you are doing with vr 3.0.

I am looking for ways to have emails sent to be based on events in my IDS logs, log I'm messages and so on.

I am basically looking to see if this product is good or can I deploy other free products and get more out of them.
