To me, closed is a good thing.  It may be one of the only protocols
"allowed in" to your system, but even then, a remote device is getting
a port closed message.

With communications on the Internet, it is very important who
*initiates* a connection.

I wonder if you're firewall is allowing this port through, but it is
getting refused by the OS after...
