Hello,
I'm wondering if there is a way to sniff a remote computer's traffic, that computer would be on a different lan, and how could that be blocked. as far as i know, wireshark sniffs only my computer and ettercap only on the same lan.

The easiest way of doing such sniffing is to break in to your target's computer network and install sniffing software there. You may try to hack the router or other machine in the network.

It's really hard (if not impossible) to sniff remote network traffic other way than from that network.
