The Slackware Linux 3.4 BIND packages were fixed this morning, shortly
after the CERT announcment went out. (...it was a late night @ Slackware

Here's the text from the Slackware 3.4 ChangeLog:

Thu Apr 9 04:20:31 PDT 1998
slakware/n1/bind.tgz: Upgraded to bind-8.1.2-T3B.
slakware/n1/diskn1: edited.
contrib/bind-4.tgz: Added new bind-4.9.7-T1B package.

Source code, package skeletons, and SlackBuild scripts to build the
Slackware BIND packages can be found in these directories:

  Source to build bind-4.9.7-T1B:
  Source to build bind-8.1.2-T3B:

The precompiled binary packages can be found at these URLs:

  Slackware binary package of bind-4.9.7-T1B:
  Slackware binary package of bind-8.1.2-T3B:

MD5 sums for the binary packages:

1f1e80bb4307f49df5bc50a9916127b9 bind.tgz

These packages will be upgraded to the final releases of BIND 4.9.7 and
BIND 8.1.2 when they become available. In the meantime, all Slackware
sites running older versions of BIND are strongly advised to upgrade to
one of these versions.
