This is actually somewhat old news and was posted to both Eggdrop
mailing lists.

The problem has been fixed and the original 1.1.5 source restored.  The
current supported release of eggdrop is 1.3.22

If you are still uncertain of sodre's stability try one of the many
Eggdrop mirrors - ftp.eggdrop.net, for example.
