That is exactly what I did and it still came back. Someone told me to disable
the "web based printing" local policy. This worked. Disabling the spooler
service seems to work too.

How do you permanently remove the .printer mapping in IIS5? If you remove
it with the MMC tool it comes back (and so does the virtual directory)
upon
reboot.
Where did you delete the .printer mapping at? Did you do it at the website
level, or the web server level? If you go to properties of the web server
and delete it should be gone permanently.
