Oracle Database Server version 10gR1, 10gR2, 11gR1 and 11gR2
This vulnerability was discovered and researched by Martin Rakhmanov of Application Security Inc.
Oracle Database supports spatial datatypes. A SQL Injection vulnerability exists in the handling of spatial indexes.
Users with create table and create procedure privileges can elevate their privileges to SYSDBA (CVE-2011-3512).
Privilege escalation to SYSDBA.
Vendor was contacted and a patch was released.
There is no workaround for this vulnerability.
Apply Oracle Critical Patch Update October 2011 available at Oracle Support.
