Firewall Wizards: RE: Web server inside the firewall

RE: Web server inside the firewall

If I were you I'd go on a tirade filled with all sorts of
buzzwords and doom and gloom about the horrible security risks and how you
could end up as an IBM commercial or something. Fear is always a great
motivator for !clue people to leave you be. :)
In the long run, motivating compliance with a security policy by tirade is
not helpful because if you do not satisfy your users needs then they will
bypass you and your firewall.
The users need access to the database, or a clear explanation of why the
risks of allowing that access outweigh the business case in favour of
allowing it.
As the IBM commercial might say ... for every buck we spend, we earn 2 by
the end of the year, but lose 5 more due to a break-in. Neil.>
