  Actually (indirectly) for NOT enabling it.

  [You've made the common error of using the name NetBEUI to refer to 
NetBIOS; the traffic to which you allude is NetBIOS carried over TCP/IP.  If 
NetBEUI is enabled, NetBIOS can be told to use it instead; since it's non-
routable, this keeps the NetBIOS traffic off the TCP/IP Internet.]
