Yes, the approximate configuration with the firewall, web server and one of
my workstations is as follows:
Internet
|
A-----------------B-----------------C
Web Server Firewall/DNS Workstation 1
10.10.10.200 10.10.10.1 10.10.10.103
I can access A's web server from B just fine. However, if I try to access
my domain from C, my browser (Internet Explorer, for example) displays the
status "Connecting to site <public IP Address>", the external card's address
from the Firewall/DNS machine, and the site won't come up, due to
misconfiguration somewhere along the line (I believe...unless this
configuration is just not easily able to be setup in this case).

David,
I'll try to start on this one. Is this the configuration?
A B C
Web Server Firewall/DNS User/You
10.10.10.200 ? ?
Can you access A's Web server from B?

Subject: [fw-wiz] (no subject)
I have a problem accessing an internal website from inside a firewalled
network, and not being able to access it. I am wondering how
that is done,
or if you have any resources where I might look to find out how
to get that
working. Currently, my firewall is a Linux 2.4.9 machine running iptables
and I'm in the midst of setting up BIND 8, assuming I need that
to solve the
problem, without modifying the hosts file on every internal machine.
The webserver is an internal machine, not on the same machine as the
firewall/soon-to-be-nameserver, and sometimes when I access it via its IP
(10.10.10.200), my browser of choice attempts to redirect me to my domain
instead, and fails. It also fails if I try to go to my domain directly.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
