Yes, in the distributed configuration of Checkpoint you need a special license for the Policy Manager.

Speaking of Nokias, does anybody have operational experience with Nokia's Horizon manager?

ABC-user license.
Do I need a separate license in order to manage the policies?  I plan to

firewall setup and interfaces configured, but my staff states that a license
is missing for
policy management.
