protocol 54

I am seeing anywhere from a few  to a few hundred packets being blocked by
my filters that use protocol 54.

looking this up it's listed as NARP

my inital guess is that it's either misconfigured machiens on the far end
or an attempt to map my network

can anyone comment on what (if anything) NARP is actually used for?
