It works even better when coupled with SSH port tunneling.
However, it only works if you install some elaborate client side
software to view all this stuff. The point of a web conference tool is
to be able to do it through a web browser, so that you don't have to
install any software.
Several posters have claimed that VNC has a web client applet, so you
can run a VNC session without any client software. That's great news,
and I will go check it out. Google produced hints of such a thing, but
no obvious "how-to" document; someone got it at their fingertips?
