How many different ways must you hear "identd is worthless, don't
bother with it" before you believe it?

My Solaris box at home didn't even have an identd. But, since most IRC
networks persist in wanting it, despite it's being completely
worthless, I added one. What it returns is completely bogus, but it
makes 'em happy.
