Go pick up some books and take a look at the SANS GCIA course. Several
books I've enjoyed that have been a great help are those written by
Northcutt, Novak, etc. from New Riders.. "Intrusion Signatures and
Analysis", "Network Intrusion Detection Third Edition", and so on..
