It is basically the WINE emulated with a bit of a UI facelift to make certain tasks easier. I cannot say whether or not WINE has vulnerabilities, but you get to install your own copies of Microsoft products (Crossover Office lets you install the MS-Office suite and the Crossover plugin lets you install IE plugins), so those have the same ol' vulnerabilities. It is worth noting that you CAN install IE and run Windows Update to get the latest patches. It is also worth noting this is not point-n-click end luser easy to do (especially if you do not know to look for it). It is kind of strange/cool to see Windows Update running within Linux, though.
