Honeypots: MODERATOR Updates

Folks,  just wanted to share with you some updates.

- First, I just returned from some travelling and may have missed 
approving posts to the lists.  If your message did not get approved and 
you don't know why, you may want to post again.
- Second, I'm killing the Promiscous NIC thread.  While it does apply 
to honeypots, I believe we have pretty much beaten a dead horse here.  
If you want more information, I highly recommend you review the 
archives from the IDS maillists, as they have discussed this issue 
several times in great detail.
- Third, I've noticed a growing trend of very basic or simple posts 
being sent.  Many, if not most, of these basic posts could have been 
easily resolved if the individual first read the Honeypot FAQ, which 
attempts to answer most basic questions.  I will be blocking such posts 
and referencing the author of the email to the FAQ.  If you have any 
suggestions on how to improve the FAQ, please let me know.

- Last, if you have found what you consider a specific bug to a specifc 
honeypot software solution, you may want to first email the developer, 
before posting to this maillist.
