Security Incidents: June Scan of the Month Challenge

The Honeynet Project and the Honeynet Research Alliance are glad to anounce
the latest Scan of the Month Challenge, for June 2002.

On Feb 15, several members of the Alliance received a flurry of UDP packets
that seemed to have no apparent purpose. This months's challenge, rated
intermediate, is to figure out the attacker's intent from the snort traces of
the event.

The details of the latest Scan of the Month are available at:

The deadline for submissions is 22:00 GMT, Friday, 21 June. Results will be
released Friday, 28 June.
