FBI Agrees to Turn Over Materials on Carnivore

The FBI will gather information about Carnivore, its Internet
surveillance system, and turn it over to a privacy-protection group for
review within 45 days, the Justice Department said Wednesday. The
Electronic Privacy Information Center, a public-interest research group,
demanded expedited access to the data under the Freedom of Information
Act.
