This is such strong proof of the grim double-standard to which all
security practices are held. If they make exceptions based on weak
authentication, then they are rightly denounced as ineffective and a
hazard to genuine security....and if they *don't* make exceptions based on
weak authentication, the people who requested their presence in the first
place get royally torqued off.
Dylan shouldn't have got pissed off at the guards who were doing
their job. He should have been grateful that no-one was able to bluff
their way in.
1. Simple "recognition" doesn't mean squat. I've met three people
who look like Bob Dylan, two people who looked like John Lennon,
one who looked like Jim Morrison, and I personally have at least
five twins running around, according to friends and relatives
(one of these "twins" even made my own mother do a double-take).
