Information Security News: Bond of $2,000 set in computer hacking case

MARSHFIELD, Wis. (AP) - A man accused of shutting down Internet access 
for customers of the Solarus computer system in Marshfield during April 
is being held on a $2,000 cash bond

Eighteen-year-old Shaun Lancaster has also been ordered not to use a 
computer.

He was arrested during the weekend after failing to make his initial 
appearance last week.

Lancaster was apprehended in Green Lake County, where court records show 
he faces a charge of sexual assault of a minor under 13.

He said in court before Wood County Circuit Judge James Mason that he's 
currently free on a signature bond on that sexual assault charge.

The Wood County criminal complaint filed against him said he had been 
able to hack into the Solarus computer system router because a default 
password had not been reset.
