MANILA -- An alleged member of hacker group "Anonymous Philippines" was arrested in Butuan City, Agusan del Norte.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) said the suspect, identified as Rodel Plasabas, was arrested in an Internet shop in the city where the Internet Protocol (IP) address of one of the hackers was traced.

Victor Lorenzo, NBI Cybercrime Division executive officer, said Plasabas was involved in the hacking of government websites in 2011 and recently when the issue on the pork barrel scam made the news.

Lorenzo said Plasabas uses the nicknames "Ano Reaper," "Anonymous Butuan" and "Reaper."
