Director of Security Operations
Prolexic, the world's leading provider of DDoS mitigation services, is seeking a seasoned Director of Security Operations to lead a 24/7 team of attack mitigation professionals. Reporting to the VP of Operations, this opportunity offers the ideal candidate a key role in growing the worlds best DDoS mitigation capability. The ideal candidate will establish innovative programs to maximise the effectiveness of security teams and their use of Prolexic’s many layers of in-house engineered hardware, software, and network equipment.
The primary responsibilities are:
• Management of the 24/7 NOC (1st level) located in Manila
• Management of the 24/7 SOC (2nd level) located in Florida
• Build world-class capability in monitoring emerging threats and handling these threats consistently across a global network while enforcing each customer's security policy.
• Establishment and measurement of staff training and certification programs.
• Ensuring best-in-class customer-communications both during, and after attacks.
• Ensuring 100% SLA is met.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and/or Experience:
• Proven ability to lead and motivate people, set targets and monitor achievements in delivering quality security services.
• A record of success in leading teams working with multiple firewall, IDS, network traffic analysis, attack mitigation, and related internet technologies.
• Minimum of four (4) years NOC/SOC Management experience (a plus if in a Carrier IP Backbone environment).
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in a technical/networking environment.
• Experience with understanding all monitoring thresholds and alerts and associated escalation paths.
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or related experience.
• DDoS mitigation experience a plus.
• Certifications appreciated: ITIL Manager, CISSP, CISA, SANS GIAC, CNP, CCSP, CCIE, NSA IAM.
Technology Skills:
• Familiarity with routing and switching and attack mitigation technologies.
• Familiarity with Internet protocols (DNS, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, etc).
• Experience with network management tools and concepts.
