Position Overview:
TELUS Security Solutions is seeking an experienced senior consultant for a full-time role as a team leader in our Secure Applications and Systems practice.
TELUS Security Solutions is an unmatched national team of over 200 information security professionals. Our team of recognized global leaders and innovators delivers a comprehensive portfolio of over 40 security services to leading Canadian businesses and all levels of government, including specialized expertise in enterprise security governance, risk assessment, and technical security testing and assessment, as well as providing specialized services in software security and vulnerability analysis to global high-tech manufacturers and 16 of the world's top 20 security product companies.

* Assist fellow practitioners in delivering technical security consulting projects
* Structuring, completing and revising both business and technical reporting in accordance with client quality and content expectations

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications
Required Knowledge:
* Familiar with major software development platforms and languages
* Familiar with basic security principles and risks
* Familiar with multiple operating environments and technology platforms
* Familiar with multiple security technologies
* Familiar with technical security assessment techniques
Required Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to operate with minimal supervision
* Self-directed approach to dealing with complex projects
* Able to perform independent research on complex technologies and subjects (this includes, but is not limited to API's, vulnerabilities, exploit techniques, threat/systems modeling and analysis)
* Ability to integrate new research into complex project deliverables
* Able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, complex issues to technical and business representatives
* Able to continuously maintain your capabilities and knowledge through your own efforts
* Able to deliver within client driven deadlines
* Able to work simultaneously on both short-term and multi-year projects
Required Professional Designation/Certification:
* Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems/Software Engineering or equivalent experience
* CISSP or SANS GIAC
* Alternate qualifications are welcome
Required Experience:
* Required: 1+ years of team leadership
* Required: 5+ years experience providing information security consulting
* Required: 2+ years experience with penetration testing
* Optional: experience with security and privacy standards (ISO 1779, SAS-70, FIPS, PIPEDA HIPPA, etc.)
* Optional: experience with network centric information security
* Optional: experience with application security
