The Head of IT Security is responsible for directing all IT security-related activities for the company worldwide so as to ensure the safe functioning of its business operations.
Essential Functions
• To own, produce, maintain, communicate, promote and enforce Group IT Security policies, standards and procedures that support business objectives and manage risk to an acceptable level
• To deliver the highest standards of service within a budget agreed and approved with the Group CSO.
• To liaise with and provide expert advice and guidance to Group Management and Legal Entities on IT Security and related legal matters, in a timely manner, enabling them to formulate decisions and address issues.
• To oversee the security and privacy of all company electronic information.
• To define, specify and assure the quality of the Group IT-security policy, based on state-of-the-art technology, legal mandates and the needs of the Group.
• To design and maintain an integrated structure with clearly-defined responsibilities for the control, monitoring and implementation of all tasks related to IT security management.
• To develop long term corporate security and privacy goals, including objectives regarding intrusion, security incident rates, risk assessments and the introduction of new technology.
• To ensure that all Group business units and legal entities comply with Group IT Security policy.
• To envision, create, resource and oversee initiatives to reach organizational goals.
• To implement a security assessment process within the Group to supervise security levels.
• To define, assess and prioritise necessary measures where appropriate in cooperation with the business units and legal entities by analysing security assessment results.
• To cooperate closely with any authorised investigations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

• University degree in information technology, engineering or equivalent. Further education in information security beneficial
• Ten years experience in a senior management position in a multi-site organisation with an international profile.
• A ten year track record of excellent leadership and strategic management in a complex and international environment.
• Five years experience as a senior IT security strategist, adviser and manager.
• Five years or more experience dealing with financial sector IT security system issues
• A proven track record of delivering strategic and tactical IT security solutions against modern, risk management criteria.
• A proven track record of influencing, and delivering change, in a complex and challenging environment.
• A proven track record of successful liaison and organisational representation at senior level in a multi cultural and multinational environment.
• Competent in writing reports, analytical papers and proposals.
• Highly competent in delivering training and education, with proven presentational skills at board and operational levels.
• Excellent command of English and at least one other European language.
• Self-starter with a passion for technology and an innate desire to remain current with emerging technologies.
• Ability to perform under pressure and respond rapidly and within tight timelines.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work as part of a team.
• Ability to work with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds, countries of origin, and at varying levels within the corporate structure.
