Position: Incident Handler
Location: Amsterdam, , Netherlands

Description
The Cisco CSIRT provides a global response team for all computer security incidents at Cisco and its businesses. CSIRT regularly engages in proactive threat assessment, mitigation planning, incident detection and response, incident trending with analysis, and security architecture. The team has an opening for an experienced security engineer who can conduct security incident response and execute security projects. The candidate must have a strong proficiency and documented experience in system or network administration to be effective in this role.
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Candidate Requirements
Practical security skill as it applies to network and host administration. Documented, successful experience in the following areas:
* Network administration
* System administration (Windows and Unix)
* IT security with a focus on computer forensics, incident response, malicious code/exploits, anti-virus, etc.
* Windows, exploits, and malware, including the latest malicious code trends.
* Communications and troubleshooting skills
* Teamwork across multiple global theatres and time zones
* Time-pressured problem solving and impact mitigation
* Independent progress on projects and deliverables with little supervision or coaching
* Verbal and written communication
Job Requirements
This position will require the candidate to participate on a global team to:
* Manage and investigate incidents
* Plan and execute projects
* Participate in a resource pool for regular 24/7 on-call duty
Due to the nature of a global team, schedule flexibility and occassional travel is required.
Location
This candidate must be located in Amsterdam, relocation will not be considered.
