JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Application Security Engineer
Location: San Jose, California, United States
Type: Contract

Closing Date: 2008-06-17

Project Name: Application Security Tool Evaluation & Proof-of-Concept
Duration: 3-4 months (potential for full time hire upon completion of project if desirable)
Location: San Jose, CA (prefer a local resource, but will accept others)

Job Duties:
The resource will be working with a team of customer employees to select application security tools for Developers and for QA

This person will be responsible for the following:
&#149; Gathering of requirements, establishing the tools evaluation criteria and working with the customer teams to weight the selection criteria.
&#149; Identifying a group of tools that could fit the criteria
&#149; Leading the process to narrow the tools selection
&#149; Leading a POC to determine final tool selection, or determine that a tool would not be appropriate at this time

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------

Qualifications:
The candidate must be able to demonstrate:
&#149; Experience and knowledge with various application security testing tools for developers and for QA
&#149; Certifications like CISSP are a nice to have.
&#149; 5 years of Application Security experience.
&#149; Prior experience working in an information security consulting role
&#149; Good communication skills are necessary. The candidate Must be able to effectively communicate with the client:
o Must be able to work well with customers.
o Project Management experience is a plus
o Good writing and documentation skills
