Position: Sales Engineer
Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States
Type: Permanent F/T

We are looking for a Sales Liaison to provide product line sales support for the Secure Mail business unit. The mission of the Sales Liaison is to be an active agent to make the sales team better faster. The Sales Liaison will interact with the sales team, the product team, and product marketing to ensure that sales is effectively selling the product line and the leadership of the business unit is effectively addressing product line sales challenges.

Responsibilities

Field effectiveness analysis - determine what parts of the sales team are working well and those that aren't and identify basic causes.
Identify best practice positioning, competitiveness, and selling tactics for the product line - interact with sales team to find out what's working in certain areas then bring those methods to other areas of sales.
Pipeline analysis and sales forecasting - evaluate sales pipeline to develop quarterly sales forecast and provide color and details for weekly sales situation.
Sales team relationship support - maintain solid relationship with sales team.
Partner relations support - maintain solid relationship with partners and channel team.
Presale problem triage and resolution - In key deals, identify any weaknesses in sales team's product line offering and assist in plugging gaps.
Helping close business for key opportunities.
Develop SE training content, sizing tools, solution design guides - Develop training content for product positioning, solution design, and solution sizing tools.
Assure appropriate sales and partner tactics/tools are understood and used in the field.
Deliver individual and group training and knowledge transfer.
Assure sales mindshare, identify field issues, and marketing needs.
Coordinate technical, information, and personnel assistance to field for key opportunities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
---------------------------------------------------
A degree in computer science, electronics, network computing, information systems or related field/work experience.
Minimum 5 years experience as a product manager, sales engineer, technical support position and/or customer facing technology role.
Technical knowledge of a variety of workstation operating systems and hardware platforms, including UNIX, multi-vendor, multi-platform wide area networking, network connectivity, local area networking.
Working knowledge of information security technology with knowledge of mail or messaging solutions preferred.
Very strong interpersonal and relationship development skills.
Strong ability to prepare and present customer sales, solution, and product line positioning presentations.
An ability to travel 50% of the time, globally.
Passion and drive for bringing technology solutions successfully to customers.
