Regional Sales Manager
VeriSign, the leading provider of intelligent infrastructure services that enable and protect billions of interactions every day across the world’s Internet and telecommunications networks, is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join its Identity and Authentication sales team.
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving assigned monthly, quarterly and yearly sales objectives representing VeriSign's Identity and Authentication solutions. This person will sell multiple managed authentication services, including OTP, PKI and fraud detection services, in a named account and geographic territory spanning several industries. The successful candidate will excel in consultative selling and possess the professionalism, experience and motivation to consistently surpass sales objectives. He/She must be highly skilled in successfully managing a complex sales process from discovery to account development, negotiations and closing high value solutions. Demonstrated ability to build strong and lasting relationships within client groups, C-level contacts and sales partners with an understanding of the issues they face.
Responsibilities
• Identify and close new business as well as management and up selling of existing accounts
• Perform sales and technical discussions with potential clients, as well as, presentations and preparation of proposals documents
• Establish, build and manage client relationships with key decision makers and build "trust" within those organizations
• Leverage client context by understanding client's overall business goals and be able to position VeriSign as a Strategic IT partner are essential to the role
• Work with Solutions Leaders and Subject Matter Experts within VeriSign to maximize opportunities
• Achievement of set Quota objectives and sales goals
• Educate clients on VeriSign's solution-based managed services and be adept at overcoming technical and business objectives of prospective clients
JOB REQUIREMENTS

Necessary Skills
• Capable of performing a consultative selling role in a technical services environment.
• Ability to generate your own leads as well as work with inside sales team
• A proven and consistent track record producing annual revenues at or above plan
• Proficient in account planning and understanding of territory management
• Proven ability to provide timely and accurate sales forecasting
• Ability to quickly assimilate industry specific information and account knowledge then translate to a sales strategy
• Ability to development integrated solutions based on contract offerings and Client needs
Experience and Education
• Minimum of 10 years successful consultative sales experience with complex high technology solutions; 3 years sales experience with authentication solutions preferred.
• Sales of professional services experience required
• Candidates must possess a BS/BA Degree preferably in a business or technology discipline; MBA and or CISM desirable
