Hi all,
We are using Squid ver 2.2 as a HTTP web proxy server which sits inside
a DMZ zone between a checkpoint firewall-1 internal and external server.
As Squid(running on Solaris) is only a WWW proxy and not an FTP proxy, I
am hoping that someone out there knows of an FTP proxy that will work
with Solaris (and hopefully can use the Squid caches, etc, to store
downloaded files but this is not important).
An option I currently have is to allow NAT on the external checkpoint
firewall, but I do not want to do this as this firewall currently does
not route any private ip addresses, and in order for our internal
network to get to this firewall, I will have to add routing.
So if anyone knows of the FTP proxy server that runs on Solaris that
will solve all my problems, please let me know!!
Cheers,
Chris
