honeyd logging

i finally have honeyd running. the only thing is that
i am not getting any information logged via syslog, it logs to console,
but when i set it to run in background, meaning, without the -d switch
i get no information, and all i do get on console, is just a connection
attempt, and nothing more,, i get no packet information.
