Ladies and Gentlemen:

As a (former) lawyer, I'd be wary of this decision and its
applicability. While it might be the case for the US, it might not be the
case elsewhere (like, say, Canada, where I live). However, a lot of
courts in other jurisdictions might use precedents in the US for
persuasive value.
