Re: NMAP 2.54 Port interface question

to clarify...

How can I redirect the output of, say, a ping scan, or even just a ping, to another tool? Can anyone show me a pseudocode or even a code example of how that is done?

I've been told that renaming nmap_main(...) and redirecting it's output can work.

I'd appreciate a private response to the following question:

I'm attempting to develop an interface between NMAP and another tool, by
setting up a port and collecting information with the tool from nmap for
graphical display, etc. So far I know how to open and configure a port on
the tool's side but I don't know where to start to get NMAP to directly
communicate with it. Which NMAP functions and .h files would be critical in
this process? Any suggestions or caveats about this kind of work?
