Nmap Development: Dude

My dude is the following:
I start nmap -sS -O -T4 xxx.xxx.xxx.1/24 >x.log
Past any minutes, show this:
RTTVAR has grown to over 2.3 seconds, decreasing to 2.0
RTTVAR has grown to over 2.3 seconds, decreasing to 2.0
RTTVAR has grown to over 2.3 seconds, decreasing to 2.0
RTTVAR has grown to over 2.3 seconds, decreasing to 2.0
.........

Why show this? width band?
