I'm glad to hear it.

There is actually no need. Nmap now automatically does an ARP ping
for any targets on a local ethernet network as long as you are root,
and unless you specify the new --send_ip option (which prevents Nmap from
sending raw ethernet frames). Your specified IP ping types (-PT, -PE,
-PA, etc.) will still be used in other cases (non-local targets)
