Hi Ron and nmap-dev,
Oops! I sent off a mail but I forgot this email wasn't subscribed to nmap-dev so I assume that nobody except Ron (who I
cced) saw it.
Basically the gist of it was that I've found the problem. It was an embarassing off-by-one error that I'm glad was
spotted before a more formal release was made.
I've attached the fix that you can apply like so:
doug () neutrino:~/nmap-3.84ALPHA1$ patch -p1 < /path/to/nmap-3.84ALPHA1-udp-fix.patch
patching file service_scan.cc
doug () neutrino:~/nmap-3.84ALPHA1$
and recompiling.
Fyodor: I've also put the patch into patches/ in CVS.
