running out of BPF devices
From: Petar Bogdanovic <p+netbsd () 2005 smokva net>

Hi!
I recently updated to nmap 4.01 and have since then the following
problem on NetBSD 3.0:
**********************************************************
Starting Nmap 4.01 ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap/ )
getinterfaces: Failed to open ethernet interface (fxp0). A possible
cause on BSD operating systems is running out of BPF devices (see
http://seclists.org/lists/nmap-dev/2006/Jan-Mar/0014.html).
QUITTING!
**********************************************************
Unfortunately, the printed link couldn't help, because since more than
17 months, the NetBSD-bpf is a cloning device.
I posted this already on netbsd-users:
http://tinyurl.com/nhoz8
Am I doing something wrong?
Thank you & with kind regards,
Petar Bogdanovic
P.S: Maybe, someone will find the attached (kdump-ed) ktrace* useful.
*) 'ktrace nmap -sS -P0 -T aggressive $IPADDR'
