You need to be in a cmd window to execute nmap, since it returns it's going
t just quit out of the cmd window launched by the run dialogue box
Go to start menu->run ... Then type "cmd" without the quotes, to start a cmd
window ... Then type nmap

hey.
I'm having trouble with the executing of nmap.exe. i installed it on my
winxp sp2 based system. im using nmap ver 4.11 ------ I got the installer
file form the site and installed it. but when i start the nmap.exe file, i
just see a quick flash of a DOS screen and thats it. i have winpcap
installed and everything. i dnt know whats wrong. please help me. im in
great need..
