Livio,

While I don't have a shell script on me that does what you need, I would
suspect a single awk script would be easiest. There is a great
article[1] that goes into a little detail about grepable format logs.
It's a little old, but I don't think grepable format has changed since
the article was written. Although it contains Perl code, it should help
you get started.
