Nmap Development: mpd not identified

mpd not identified

Hi!

nmap does not identify mpd although the latter is not that rarely
used. Music Player Daemon (MPD) allows remote access for playing
music (MP3, Ogg Vorbis, FLAC, AAC, Mod, and wave files) and managing
playlists. MPD is designed for integrating a computer into a stereo
system that provides control for music playback over a local network.
For remote connections it per default uses 6600/tcp (to my knowledge
no udp is used and so is what a UDP scan shows). It sure would make
sense to add that service to nmap-services.

Jupp
