Nmap Development: LibNnmap SoC project

LibNnmap SoC project

From: Fyodor <fyodor_at_insecure.org>
Date: Fri, 23 Mar 2007 17:47:00 -0700

A prospective Nmap SoC applicant named Hugo T R suggested (on the Nmap
SoC list) separating Nmap and NmapFE into a LibNmap library such that
Nmap and NmapFE are simply clients of that library. I think this idea
has a lot of potential, though it would certainly take a talented,
motivated, and dedicated SoC student to pull it off. I have written
the project up (briefly) at:

http://insecure.org/nmap/GoogleGrants.html

If anyone has ideas/suggestions relating to the LibNmap concept,
please post them.

Cheers,
-F
