RE: NMap 4.2 and Vista

I did some more playing around last night, and I am starting to wonder
if this is not a WinPCap issue? I noticed that even WireShark won't run
now, as it shows that I have no adapters in my laptop.

2007/2/23, Sean McClanahan <sean.mcclanahan () westecnow com>:
Good evening.

I am a relatively new user to NMap. I am using NMap 4.2, WinPCap 4.0,
and Vista Business. When I try to launch NMap, Vista tells me that an
error has occurred, and the application basically just dumps itself.

Has anyone else had success running NMap on Vista? If so, what was
your
trick to make it work?

Thanks!

I also have issues with Vista.
#nmap --iflist is not working (dumps with no error)

#windump dumps with this error:
WinDump.exe: PacketGetAdapterNames: The data area passed to a system
call is too small. (122)

MM.
